McLaren Movie at the Petersen Museum

On June 24, 2017, we attended the movie night screening of McLaren, in the Bruce Meyer family gallery. McLaren recounts Bruce McLaren’s life from his humble beginnings at his father’s auto shop in Auckland, New Zealand to revolutionizing formula one racing by becoming the youngest driver ever to win a grand prix, to his untimely death at 32 in a racing accident. Featuring interviews from his closest friends and family members, the documentary is an unprecedented window into the life of a true genius. 

Following the screening there was a Q&A by Bruce Meyer with movie director Roger Donaldson, Justin Bell, and McLaren’s Global Heritage Operations Manager, Keith Holland. We were able to see the current cars featured at the museum during our visit.
